Normally when the mirror is sticking up on an older body it's because the foam seal/cushion around the bottom of the focus screen/fresnel lens has decayed and become sticky. But if that happen you can normally just unstick it with a fingernail. You say yours pops straight back up again though. When it sticks the film lever also becomes stuck. What did I do wrong? Any idea what to check for, or how to fix this problem. The best way to deal with it is just to ignore it and keep on shooting. After all, even factory fresh lenses have a little dust in them as well.
