WebJan 28, 2024 · The beaches on the False Bay (eastern) side of the Cape Peninsula are not quite as spectacular as those on the Atlantic side, but the water is several degrees warmer than on the west coast and can be as warm as 23ºC (73ºF) during the South African summer, making swimming more pleasant here. WebMiami, Tampa Bay Area (St. Pete is very liberal and appreciative of our LGBT+ friends), Orlando (for parks only), and Key West. All the rest of the state is garbage, imo. As with any travel, being a savvy traveler can literally save your life, regardless of where you visit. Be aware of your surroundings.
